Grilling to me means easy delicious foods that everyone in the family is going to like, is it the same at your house?
Grilled Nachos are a great foil packet meal that you can make at home, camping, or in the stove if you don’t have a grill or it is too cold. Just lay out the piece of foil, I like to do one for each member of the family, that way they can customize it to their liking.
Then, you can spray the foil or drizzle a tid bit of oil on it to make sure nothing sticks. Next lay on all the ingredients you like! I listed our favorite nacho toppings below in the recipe, but you can add whatever in whatever amounts you want!
Pop them on the grill for a few minutes and let everything melt or heat up again and dinner is done!
Do be careful of the bottoms of them because they can burn the chips. So just make sure to keep them to the sides of the fire pit if that is how you are doing it or wait until it is nice and smoldery instead of big hot flames.
You can also do this in a foil pan if you are making a larger batch!

Method
- If you are making this over a fire light the fire and let the logs get to the smolder stage. If you are using a grill heat it and then turn the heat to low.
- Get out a sheet of foil per person making the nachos.
- Drizzle some oil or spray the packet so the cheese does not stick.
- Next make a pile of chips, then cheese, next have each person pick their favorite toppings from your choices. Keep the food about 2 inches from the edges of the foil so you can easily wrap them up.
- When everyone has their food in the packet, fold the foil shut so it is closed. Write each person’s name on it with a permanent marker.
- Next place the packets on the perimeter of the fire, over a grate over the fire, or the perimeter of the grill. Let heat until the cheese is melted 5-10 minutes usually.
- Take them off check to see that it is heated and the cheese is melted.
- Add any other toppings you didn’t want heated like sour cream, etc.
- Enjoy!
