2 cups of flour
1 stick of butter
1/2 tsp salt
1 T baking powder
3/4 cup milk
Put the flour, baking soda and salt in a bowl stir. Cut in the cold butter in until it resembles small peas/corn starch texture. The larger the blobs of fat the flakier the biscuits. Then pour in the milk and stir until just combined. Dump onto floured surface and knead slightly folding one side over the about 6 times. This laminates the dough and creates layers.
Then cut into shapes, I don’t have a biscuit cutter so I like to do squares. Or I find random cookie cutters to makes shapes!
Bake at 450 for 12 minutes. You can drizzle more melted butter on if you like!
