Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Smoothies are the best friend of breakfast in my opinion. Not only do adults love them but so do the kids!

The best way to meal prep for a smoothie meal is to make smoothie packs for the freezer. I like to these silicone bags to do this. They are reusable, can go in the freezer, dishwasher, or store in the cupboard. Smoothie packs make mornings so easy. Just put whatever you want in your smoothie, in this case strawberries and bananas, in the baggie and toss in the freezer. Then the day you want to use them put the frozen fruit/veggies into the blender with the liquids and blend away!

Smoothies are so great for getting protein and fiber in to start the day. The fruit also has a lot of water in it which can help you feel better too!

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Course: Breakfast, Snack

Ingredients
  

  • 1 medium frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • Ice cubes optional
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. If it is too thick you can thin it down with some water until it is the thickness you prefer.
