- Place the whole wheat pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone, or prepare according to package instructions if you need to make it.
- Spread the refried black beans evenly over the pizza crust, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Spoon the salsa over the bean layer, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the cooked and seasoned ground meat over the salsa layer.
- Sprinkle the shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is crispy. Stop here if preparing to put it in the freezer, let cool and cover in your favorite freezer safe wrap (plastic or beeswax wrap).
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Top with chopped romaine lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, diced red onion, and diced avocado.
