- Place roast in the crock pot. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic.
- Cover with chicken broth. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 5-6 hours.
- When there are about 3 hours left add the potatoes and carrots. This way they are cooked but do not get mushy in the crock pot.
