Maple Roasted Almonds

Almonds are a great snack for any time of year, but they are extra delicious for fall and winter when you lightly roast them covered in maple syrup and a hit of cinnamon!

Make a bit of a batch and then store them in an airtight container for a sweet and salty snack any time of day!

Maple Roasted Almonds

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almonds
  • 2 T maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Sprinkle of salt

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 325 F.
  2. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a small bowl, stir together the maple syrup and cinnamon.
  4. Drop almonds into the bowl and coat evenly.
  5. Spread the almonds out on the cookie sheet in a single layer and bake for about 20 minutes, or until very fragrant. Keep an eye on them and stir every once in a while so they do not burn. If they look like they are burning take them out.
  6. Sprinkle with a touch of salt right when they come out of the oven. Let cool and then store in an air tight container.
