Do you love breakfast sandwiches? If so you should try making these yummy sandwiches at home!
It took about 30 minutes from start to finish and cleaning up to make 12 of these with the help of the kids (so maybe take off a few minutes if you are doing it alone :)).
I purchased items to make these sandwiches at both Costco and Aldi. If you don’t have a Costco membership you can easily get all the ingredients from Aldi, however, the prices I have listed here would be a bit different.
Thomas English Muffins – Costco $5.48 for 18
Eggs – Costco 5 dozen for $10.61
Cheese slices – Aldi 11 slices for $1.65
Sausage patties – Aldi 18 for $9.69
I made 12 total sandwiches but because I have a kiddo who doesn’t like cheese we made 6 with cheese and 6 without.
So in total, I spent $1.34 on each of the sandwiches with cheese and $1.19 on the ones without cheese! Which is cheaper than going to a restaurant or buying them in a prepackaged meal frozen section. Not to mention we got to spend time cooking together as a family!
I highly suggest making these as a meal prep item as they have made the mornings so smooth the last few days! To make this a double meal prep, make them fresh for breakfast and package up what doesn’t get eaten and pop them in the freezer!
Check out this video for how to wrap them before putting them in the freezer.

Ingredients
Equipment
Method
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- First crack all of the eggs into a mixing bowl. Whisk until they are lightly foamy and all the same color.
- Add salt and pepper to taste, I would start with 1/4 -1/2 tsp of each and go up depending on your preferences.
- Pour into a jelly roll pan and place in the oven to bake for 15-18. minutes or until they are set
- While those are baking, place sausages onto a separate baking sheet (probably one with sides as the fat melts out) and bake until these are cooked according to package instructions.
- While the eggs and sausages are cooking rip off 12 pieces of parchment paper and cut apart the English muffins.
- When the eggs are cooked, take a biscuit cutter or drinking glass and cut out 12 egg rounds from the baking sheet.
- Next place the bottom part of the muffin in the center of the parchment paper.
- Place one sausage patty on the muffin.
- Place one egg round on top of the sausage, and once slice of cheese on top of the egg.
- Place the top of the muffin on the cheese.
- Finally wrap the sandwich in parchment paper and place in a freezer safe container when cooled.
- Freeze up to 3-4 months for best flavor.
- Reheat:
- Microwave – 60 seconds check temeprature and add 30 seconds at a time until it is cooked to your liking.
- Oven – Place sandwiches on a pan and bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes or until heated through.
- Air fryer – Place sandwiches in air fryer and cook at 375 for 15 minutes or until heated through.
- Times may vary dependong on how thick your sausage and egg patties are.
