The best tip I have for you is to………
Let someone else do it!
That sounds weird, right? But it is so true! If you are going to be bored, deviate from your plan, hate doing, etc., etc., it isn’t going to get done and you aren’t going to see results in your health, financial, and overall wellness goals.
- Find someone you trust to help with your meal plan.
- Find someone who is in your price range.
- Find someone who is going to vary the meals offered.
- Find someone who has the same/similar health and wellness goals as you.
- Find someone who has a similar lifestyle, kids, busyness level, etc.
When I am saying find someone that could be a meal service right to your door, or it could be a person who loves meal planning (Hey! I love that!). Whichever is the best fit for your family’s eating habits and especially your budget is the way you should go.
Identifying with the person who is planning your meals is one of the first things you need to do. Watch their reels, check out their reviews (I’m just getting started so there aren’t that many, hehe), and see if their recipes look like ones your family will eat. Otherwise, this Lazy Girl tip is going to turn into more work as you will be making extra meals, running out to eat, or throwing away a lot of food.

Cost efficiency is a must these days. Right now when I go to the store it is $30-$50 more than what it used to be depending on what recipes I have selected. Finding a meal planner who can work with your grocery budget is important. Suggesting stores, using different brands, etc. are ways your planner can help with this. Meal plans can be crazy expensive. Make sure to find one that also fits your budget (my monthly meal plans are only $5.99 right now) for meal planning per month.
I have heard from friends who have used services they were charged $50 a month and the weeks just repeated themselves the whole month! That may work for some people, but I’m guessing you are craving variety. I crave variety too, in my monthly meal plans I love planning a couple of new recipes a month. This meets my needs of experimenting and not getting bored in the kitchen but also keeps classic recipes the kids love on the plan. Having variety helps you stay on a meal plan and affords for flexibility with your food.

Lastly finding someone who has a similar lifestyle as you do is also important. Are you busy? Do you have a lot of time to cook and prep or is it random when you can meal prep? Do you like to eat healthy majority of the time, but know moderation is important? These are questions you should ask yourself when evaluating a meal plan service or meal planner.
Goals: financial, health, and staying organized will be so much easier to achieve if you find a planner that works for you and your lifestyle.
I love eating healthy but knowing moderation and treats here and there are what keep a meal plan going strong. If it sounds like you and I would work well together, let’s do it!
