Mixed Berry Smoothie

Servings: 2 servings

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen mixed berries
  • 1 medium banana sliced
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt plain or vanilla
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A handful of ice cubes if using fresh berries

Method
 

  1. In a blender, combine the berries, banana, Greek yogurt, milk, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  2. Add a handful of ice cubes if you prefer a thicker, colder smoothie.
  3. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy. This usually takes about 1-2 minutes, depending on your blender’s power.If the smoothie is too thick, add a bit more milk and blend again until you reach your desired consistency.
  4. If it’s too thin, add a few more raspberries or a couple of ice cubes and blend again.
  5. Pour into cups and enjoy!
  6. To pump up the protein add a scoop of vanilla or chocolate protein powder.
