Take away the stress of meal planning by having a theme night each day of the week!
Does anyone have Taco Tuesday at their household? Theme nights can make your meal-planning strategy a lot more fun!
When you pick a theme for each night of the week it reduces the stress of what you will need to come up with each day. Everyone in the family knows what to expect and everyone can help prepare it. Post the theme for the week in a visible place until you get your routine down.
Here are 5 examples of ways to utilize theme nights:
- Meatball Monday – Spaghetti and meatballs, Meatball subs, or Mashed Potatoes and Meatballs could be ways to incorporate this theme.
- Taco Tuesday – Tacos, Taco Salad, Taco Chicken Salad, and Easy Cheesy Chicken Quesadillas are ways to have fun with this theme.
- Wok Wednesday – Chicken and Vegetable stir Fry, Egg Roll in a Bowl, Teriyaki Chicken and rice, and sushi, could all be ways to celebrate this theme.
- Thrifty Thursday – use up leftovers in the fridge, find “Garbage Bowl” recipes, or create your own!
- Fun Friday – go out to eat, grab a pizza, make a homemade pizza, or Walking Tacos!
- Sheet Pan Saturday – pick out your favorite protein and vegetables, throw them on the pan, and roast.
- Slow Cooker Sunday – Find your favorite slow cooker recipes like Roast and Potatoes, Crock Pot BBQ Pulled Chicken, Crock Pot Ranch Pork Chops, or Cool Ranch Crock Pot Chicken.
Have fun with your theme night choices! Once you have the theme picked out find ways to work this into your meals. You could serve the same dish each time, or you can add variety but stick with the theme as I have shown above.
Happy planning and prepping this week everyone!
